Summit Brewing Co. hosts MMC SnowVox Instrumental Series feat. Kashimana Ahua

MMC SNOWVOX INSTRUMENTAL SERIES: As part of our ongoing support of the MN Music Coalition (MMC), Summit Brewing Co. is excited to announce that the Summit Ratskeller will be host to the MMC new monthly music series called SnowVox. This free music series will take place the second Thursday of the month from 6-8 p.m.
On Thursday, February 13 the performance will be by composer, producer and blues musician Kashimana Ahua. Kashimana Ahua is a musician, singer, songwriter, composer, producer, lyricist, guitarist and performing artist who uses her experiences growing up in Nigeria and Kenya, traveling Africa and Europe and settling in the United States to guide and inspire her work. In 2018 – 2019, Ahua was the Common Composer in Residence in Willmar, Minn., a community residency program that is geared at teaching songwriting as a way to share stories. The residency program has also resulted in building a community songbook from the works of its participants. Her latest project was a story scoring project, “A Soundscape of Stories,” that debuted at the 2019 Northern Spark Festival.
