Summit Ratskeller Exclusive #4: Zipper Merge Lager
Heads up, Beer Lovers! It’s summer, you’re sick of being stuck in your car during road construction, and you need refreshment. We can intuit these things, and we’re ready to satisfy you.
This Thursday, August 16, we’re tapping a never-before-tasted Summit Ratskeller Exclusive, fresh off the pilot system and available only in limited quantities.
Summit Ratskeller Exclusive #4: Zipper Merge Lager, according to Head Brewer Damian McConn, is a hop-forward export lager beer in the style of pilseners brewed in Westphalia and Lower Saxony in Northwest Germany.
“Brewed with Pils and Munich malts in addition to a blend of German and U.S. hops,” says Damo, “this small-batch lager brings aromas of honeydew, apricot, white pepper and toast, leading to flavors of bread crust and stone fruit. Clean refreshing bitterness is enhanced by a dry finish.”
Clocking in at 5.5% ABV and 50 IBU, we have just enough of the Zipper Merge Lager to get our well-behaved employees and favorite customers through a weekend or two of moderate to enjoyable beer-drinking. Get here soon, and please do so in an orderly fashion.
Here are some more tasting notes from the Quality Assurance Team’s Sensory Panel, in case you like tasting notes: cracker, melon, guava, juicy, cracker, clean bitter, mellow general fruit, light mouthfeel, mineral, white grape, champagne.
Remember, we all taste beer differently, and even if you don’t pick up on these flavors, it doesn’t mean this isn’t the greatest beer of all time. Because it is. Make sure you come try the beer and tell us what you think of it!
