A Message From Summit Brewing Company Regarding COVID-19
As a valued member of the Summit Brewing Company family and community, we appreciate the trust you place in us and our beer. Considering this unprecedented time with so many unknowns related to the rapidly evolving nature of COVID-19, we want to reiterate our priority and dedication to the health, safety and well-being of our staff, distributors, retailers, partners, vendors, customers and visitors.
Although Summit has not been directly affected, our staff closely monitors communications from, and follows the guidance of, the WHO, CDC and Departments of Health. We will continue to assess how we make decisions and proceed with vigilance during the remainder of the outbreak.
As we are a brewery first and foremost, with a small employee base, our focus and priority is protecting the health and well-being of our staff, facility and business. Therefore, we have intensified our standard cleaning and sanitization protocols throughout the public spaces of the brewery, which include additional hand sanitizing stations and daily rigorous disinfection of high-touch surface areas. This elevated protocol in public spaces is in addition to the already rigorous practices of cleaning and sanitizing procedures throughout our production and non-public areas of the brewery.
Brewing operations at Summit Brewing Company will continue as normal and the Summit Ratskeller will remain open to the public at this time with the following limitations:
- Public tours of the brewery will only be conducted during non-brewing/non-production times. Visit our website for up-to-date tour availability and times.
- We will place a temporary pause on the addition of any hosted non-profit events or programming events that are not already scheduled.
We have communicated with our staff to remain vigilant and follow CDC hygiene best-practices and reiterated if they feel ill, they are to stay home to recuperate. We ask our community to do the same and not visit the brewery if not feeling well in order to keep others around you healthy and safe, and to assist in slowing the spread of COVID-19.
