Summit Beer Hall Exclusive #2: New England-Style IPA

Last month’s Beer Hall Exclusive, Phazer Hazy IPA, was supposed to last about three weeks. You guys liked it so much, however, it was gone in just six days. Seems y’all have a taste for hops.

In response, we’ve team-brewed up another hoppy IPA for this month’s Beer Hall Exclusive, only this one is even hazier and juicier — very true to style for New England-Style IPAs.

Fruity, juicy, and cloudy as a rainy Monday, this unnamed beast features a bouquet of highly aromatic fruit-forward hops, including Citra, Centennial, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, Chinook and Simcoe. All added in ridiculous quantities, these hops offer aromas of citrus, peach, pineapple, mango, and other tropical fruits mixed in with some serious brace-yourself-for-it dank. With floor malted pearl pale ale malt, plus caramel and wheat malts from the UK and the Midwest, the result is a highly crushable IPA clocking in at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBU.

Created and brewed on our small pilot system, each Beer Hall Exclusive is captained by a different Summit Brewer and produced by a team of Summit employees from across the brewery. This collaborative approach is a great way for folks from our sales and marketing teams to get friendly with our production and administrative teams. Or spend the day bickering about hops.

By nature, small batches like these won’t last long. If you miss one for some reason, you’ll be S.O.L. until our next Beer Hall Exclusive comes around. Sorry, that’s how this works.
