Coffee 🤝 Beer – The Greatest Team Up in Brewing.

Coffee, it’s amazing; it tastes good, you can get it anywhere, and it’s easily the 2nd best beverage out there. Right behind beer, respectfully. Naturally, in the name of science and making things taste better, some brewers in history decided to improve coffee by adding it to beers like Stouts and Porters to compliment the chocolate and malty flavors these darker beers have.

Here at Summit, craft beer and coffee share a unique bond, and we’ve done our fair share of exploration with various coffee beers over the years. Our latest ventures in the coffee-beer world have been with our friends over at Bizzy Cold Brew Coffee. Our first collab beer this year was our Bizzy Cold Brew Blonde Ale. It beautifully captures the vibrant and refreshing qualities of both a blonde ale and a smooth cold brew. This brew is a delightful experience, featuring rich coffee flavors that play off the malt’s subtle sweetness, ensuring that each sip is as refreshing as it is satisfying. First introduced in 2016, our smoothest, boldest brew is back for the Winter Solstice. A rich, full-bodied imperial milk stout with sweet, roasted notes from six specialty malts, Dark Infusion, features kettle additions of lactose for additional sweetness and body. The infusion of Bizzy Cold Brewed Coffee helps complement this beer with coffee rather than overpowering it—traces of caramel, graham crackers, and dark chocolate round out this highly anticipated and limited beer.
