Parking is very limited, so we’re encouraging everyone to bike, bus, shuttle, carpool, walk, or take a cab.

Summit Brewing is pleased to be partnering with Eureka Recycling again, Minnesota’s only nonprofit with a mission to demonstrate waste is preventable. Together we are working towards zero waste at our upcoming Backyard Bash. We are aiming to reduce discarded material and to ensure that disposable items generated at the event will be compostable or recyclable. Volunteers will make it easy for event-goers to recycle and compost. We’re looking forward to seeing how close we can come to zero while having a great time!

Special thanks go out to the Saint Paul Jaycees and our Summiteers for being event volunteers.  We couldn't do it without you!  We also want to thank 89.3 The Current for their sponsorship of our event, as well as Culligan for suppling free water stations throughout the grounds.

And a hearty thank to Metro Transit for providing free rides to the party.  See the link at top to download your pass!

Stop by the Minnesota United FC booth at the Backyard Bash to create you very own soccer scarf and learn more about the upcoming MLS season. MNUFC players will be signing autographs and taking photos from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm, so make sure to come say hello!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Can I volunteer at the Bash?
Yes you can! Contact us at volunteer@summitbrewing.com to find out more.

Where should I park?
Parking is extremely limited so we encourage you to catch a free ride with Metro Transit instead. However, if you want to drive, you may have to park on the street and walk quite a ways  Please be aware of any parking restrictions when you park on the street.  A few of our neighbors have graciously opened up their lots for the day.  Please only park in lots that are clearly marked with our signs.  Again, these lots will fill up very fast!

So if there is no parking, what should I do?
We are encouraging biking and there will be racks available (don’t forget your bike lock!).  There are also free rides via Metro Transit (see link at top or in sidebar). Plus, area restaurants O'Gara's Bar & Grill and Bennett's Chop & Railhouse are providing free shuttles to and from the event, AND offering Summit pints for $1 off all-day and night on 9/10/16 (so be sure to thank them by having a beer at their bar!).  And of course, there are always cabs!

How do I get to the brewery?
We are located at 910 Montreal Circle, St. Paul, MN  55102.

Download map.

What are the set times of the bands?
TBA

What if I drink too much beer, what are my options?
As always, please be responsible! We have partnered with Drink Drive Intelligently (DDI), a great service that picks you up and drives you home in your own car.  Reservations are preferred, plus you get $10 off if you book in advance.  Visit  www.youdrinkwedrive.org for more info or call 651.338.1425.  Plus cabs and Metro Transit (see above) are options. Note-if you do leave your car, be sure to remove it on Sunday ASAP.

Speaking of beer, what will you be serving?
We will have a variety of beer for your drinking pleasure.  Back by popular demand will be the cask beer area in our new cellar.  Casks will be tapped continuously throughout the day instead of at set times.  A lottery of beer goodness!

Is there a place to park my motorcycle, scooter, or Segway?
There will be a designated single occupancy motorized vehicle parking area near the brewery.  We'll have traffic control to direct you to the spot.

Can I bring kids, pets, or firearms?
We will allow children 12 and under to attend our Bash this year if accompanied by a 21+ adult, otherwise it is 21+ only.  That means your 13-20 year old kids need to stay home and play on their phones. No pets allowed except for licensed service animals.  No firearms allowed.

Can I bring in a cooler or outside drink/food?
Nope. We will be selling food, beer, water, and pop. This year we will also have free water stations, thanks to Culligan Water.  Bring an empty water bottle or purchase one at the Summit merch booth!

Can I bring a blanket or chair?
No chairs, but blankets are okay. There will be picnic tables throughout the grounds.

Is the event handicap accessible?
It is!  The party will take place behind the brewery, on a mix of grass and concrete.  Please see parking attendant for parking options if you have a government issued handicap parking permit.  Attendants will be staged near the railroad tracks as you enter the Summit grounds.

What if it rains or –gulp— snows?
Dress appropriately?  The Backyard Bash will be held rain or shine; however, we reserve the right to cancel the event or part of the event due to severe weather.  This is an open air Bash, so wear your sunscreen, rain slicker (no umbrellas please), or parka.  If dangerous conditions do arise, check back at this page for a status update.  Cheers to Minnesota weather!

Will I get to tour the brewery?
Unfortunately, due to the size of the event, we will not be conducting tours of the brewery.  Just another excuse to come back and visit us!  You will, however, be able to see our new cellar if you go into the cask beer area.

What will there be to eat?
Anchor Fish & Chips, World Street Kitchen, Black Forest, Pizza Lucé, Bennett's, Signature on Wheels and more!

Will there be vegetarian food options?
Indeed there will be!  Veggie pizza, burritos, salads and more.

Do I need to bring cash?
Yes!  All drink and food will be cash only.  We will have an ATM on site as well.

Can I leave and come back?
Yes, we will allow re-admission, but be sure to get stamped before you leave!

Will there be Summit merchandise available?
Yes, we will be selling a handful of choice items throughout the day.  Credit cards will be accepted for merchandise.
