Summit Brewing Company Partners With Animal Humane Society

Brewery to Sponsor Walk For Animals, Pour Beer For Humans.

Animal Humane Society Walk For Animals

Summit Brewing Company is proud today to announce our partnership with Animal Humane Society, the Midwest’s leading animal welfare organization. With five Twin Cities adoption centers, AHS feeds, cares for, and scratches the bellies of more than 23,000 dogs, cats, and other critters every year. As part of our effort to support this very worthy cause, Summit will sponsor AHS’s 2017 Walk For Animals.

Beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Animal Humane Society’s Golden Valley location, this year’s Walk For Animals will bring animal lovers and their little growlers together to hit the sidewalk, tour Theodore Wirth Park, and raise money for AHS. With a goal to raise $1 million to care for animals in need, the Walk For Animals is the nation’s largest human and animal pet walk.

During the Walk, Summit beer will be available for sale to all of-age handlers, with proceeds from beer sales directly benefiting Animal Humane Society. Summit Brewing Co. looks forward to petting pups and shaking paws at the walk, and working with AHS throughout 2017 and beyond.

“We’re so excited to be partnering with Summit Brewing Company,” says Breanna Cowan, Corporate Philanthropy Advisor of AHS. “Like Animal Humane Society, Summit Brewing is a local institution and part of so many summer celebrations. We’re thrilled to have them join us at the Walk for Animals this year, and are so grateful for their efforts to encourage the community to donate, walk, and celebrate with us on May 6.”

To support the Walk For Animals, please register online or simply make a donation to help the animals in our community. And if you plan on walking, bring your four-legged friend to the Summit Beer Hall and pet-friendly patio to check in early from 4–8 p.m. on Thursday, May 4. Those who check in early can enjoy a free pint of beer or root beer, and register to win a Summit cooler and dog gift pack. Plus, your dog can enjoy all the fun smells.
